Juliet is a beautiful spayed female with gorgeous green eyes, and a very sad story of why she is the longest resident of the shelter. She was born on 9/13/11, is super sweet, and loves attention. She likes to snuggle, sleep at the top of cat trees, knead on you when she is extra happy, and every now and again will even give you a hug. Juliet does very well with other cats and strangers, but will need a home without dogs as she is not very fond of them at all. Her biggest problem however lies in not being able to adjust to new environments very quickly. She takes comfort in a life where things stay the same for the most part. Over many months, Juliet has been adopted several times, and returned each time because she would hide in her new home where everything was different. Juliet needs a very quiet and loving home with owner's that will allow her to have the extra time needed for her to get used to her new life and to trust the people that are going to love her forever. At one time she was the shelter's lobby cat greeter and enjoyed all of the strangers coming over to pet her. She was then moved to our cat colony room with many other cats to keep her company and for us to see how she would do. She was having a hard time, and after days of hiding we tried to bring her back out into the lobby where she used to feel at ease, but too much time had passed and she now saw the lobby as a new environment. It was back into the colony room for poor Juliet, and to our surprise she soon came out of hiding and started to greet people and go back to being her old wonderful self. She is often times the first one to jump on your lap when visiting the colony room, and is doing just fine surrounded by other cats. She has an instant quiet purr and leans into your loving arms for extra attention. If you think that Juliet would be a good member of your family and you'd be willing to help her understand that she doesn't have to hide from life outside of the shelter's colony room, we would love to have you stop over to meet her and fill out an application to adopt her. Juliet is well worth the extra time needed for her to settle into a new home!!
