Echo is a one-year-old calico female who joined our shelter family as a stray on September 1, xxxx. She's been in foster care until recently, and here is what her foster parent had to say about her:
"Echo answers to "Pretty Mama" and will relearn whatever name you want. She's not yet spayed. She?s great with dogs and cats - often lying on top of the dog and grooming him. However she doesn't play with other animals, as she gets scared and protects herself. When meeting a new animal for the first time, she will hiss and growl until she knows that the other animal is not a threat. She's good with children; allowing a four-year-old to carry her around! Generally she only allows being carried around and held on her terms. Echo is a lap cat - this is being typed as she is draped across my lap. Echo will tell you all about her day in her unique way - using purrs, chips, and whispered meows. She will let you know what she wants.
Echo will follow you around like a little shadow. She'll answer you if you call her! You will wind up tripping over her multiple times in a day. She gets "frisky" at times, often playing "hunt" with the dog toys. She likes toys she can carry off and bunny-kick, and toys with the balls that spin. Her favorite time to play is at night; she will often howl at her conquest of a toy. She can be seen frolicking like a deer when she gets excited.
