Oreo is a beautiful spayed tuxedo girl with the most prominent white whiskers you have ever seen! She is very petite and has a short to medium length coat, which she likes to have brushed as she sits on your lap. She is also good in your arms, loves to be petted, and slept near her previous owner?s feet at night. This little darling is one of those special kitties that will definitely put a smile on your face every time you look at her. Oreo was very sadly surrendered to the shelter along with her mom Shelby on 10/11/12. They are not a bonded pair, and can easily be adopted into separate homes. Her previous family moved into an apartment and was unable to take the pets with. They knew that their cats were to go directly into a foster home, but they loved them so much that it was still very difficult for them to say good-bye. Oreo was born in July of xxxx, so she is now 5 years old, and had been in the same home her entire life. She has always been shy of strangers at first, so it was no surprise that it took a while for her to adjust to her new foster home environment. They report that she is doing much better and that they just LOVE her! Oreo has been excellent with the litter-box and is good about using a scratching post. She has NOT scratched anything inappropriate. She does well with dogs and tolerates new cats in her life, but it may take her a little longer before she will totally warm up to them. Oreo is very active and loves to play with toys. She is also very gentle! Her previous family had a baby join them about a year ago and Oreo was wonderful with the baby...the baby would giggle and hug Oreo and it didn't bother her! Her foster family was fortunate enough to see this firsthand and it was quite precious. :) Oreo is up to date on her distemper vaccinations and her rabies vaccination certificate will not expire until 10/16/13.
